Tea party by gonecanuck Tea party by gonecanuck
The details of the samovar for my dear friend Nancy.
I think taking pictures of it was more difficult than actually painting it.

Thank you :rose:
I bought this wooden tea set in Russia at the folk artists market. It is just a souvenir, serves no purpose really.
I can't wait to go back home and buy more of these, they are fun to paint.

The top view pic looks awesome! And yes, I agree that taking pic of artwork is more difficult than producing the artwork itself!
Your friend is sooo lucky, the tea set is really beautiful & unique!

Wow yay more awesome art! Very pretty details as usual - and I like the ladybug-type spots theme :)

Dear Sveta, I am looking to receiving this wonderful set even more, after seeing this series of pictures! Did you have pictures or examples for reference for the design? It's incredible, and the tree also! The pictures are beautifully taken Sveta.!

I am so glad.
I used the samovar itself as a reference, but the design is original (or so I hope).

hehe, I think i really should try to do something minimalistic for a change.
If i tried to do something like your art, i probably would give up after three minutes lol.
Believe it or not, there are still more details that i wasnt able to fit in the photo.

:D my minimalist approach to art the past couple of years stems pretty much from lack of time... and laziness. ;)

if you're doing painting like this i know for fact you're not lazy. you should definitely give it a shot hon... you might surprise yourself.

It would be a challenge, but my lazy side would definitely rejoice.
I don't quite believe that you are lazy. You have so much control over the lines :D

:aww: well maybe it's not all laziness... after shattering my right hand and wrist in an accident a few years ago drawing & inking isn't as easy as it once was... it's painful sometimes. so i really appreciate your nice compliment hon... thanks so much. :rose:

You quite literally suffer for your art then.
Mucho respect!
