Very nice work indeed. The floral work is quite beautiful. I love how you put it together. I like very much how you integrated the berries? with the flowers so that it creates a fluid yet distinct feel. Well done

Oh my goodness that is beautiful! VERY cool, how long did it take you? And do you paint these things for a living?

thank you kindly!
I work on very very many things at the same time, so it is hard to estimate exact time. I would say maybe 4-5 hours spread out over 3 weeks. Sometimes i only paint for 10 minutes at a time, depends on how i feel like. my main problem is impatience over watching the paint dry LOL.
I dont do it for a living, I prefer to give them as gifts. So i mostly make stuff for my mom and dad (who are my biggest fans).

I think i will put outdoor varnish on it so it will protect it. But you are right, i dont want the colors to fade... I love colors so much.
And thank you so much

What is the name of the outdoor varnish? just in case I like to paint my...planters:D

The brand i use is called Varathane, and they make varnish for indoor and outdoor (as well as such types as semigloss, glossy etc.) I buy it at Home Depot, I am not sure if they are American stores.

My dear, Home Depot is everywhere here, just like Michael's=D Thank you for the tip. But is the vaenish for art paints also or just for the commercial paints? Sorry for the many questions. I'm just curious=D

I think it is made for wooden furniture and floors (and primarily for commercial paint). I use it because i paint on wood and it seems to work. I am really not sure about the art paint. If you paint with gouache on wood, i am sure it will work. Unfortunately, acrylics and oils are still a big mystery to me. I hope it was helpful :D

de rien.
I wanted to ask you if you put any varnish on your paintings or anything else to protect the paint. Also, i wanted to ask you about canvas. Are there different types of canvas and what would you recommend?
